The Marksman was established in 1980 to provide our community with a clean and professional place to learn and practice sport shooting.

We are a beginner friendly environment, offering regularly scheduled classes as well as private lessons by appointment. Our advanced programs are designed to assist the developing professional, competitor and recreational shooter.

Come in and browse one of the largest firearms selections in the Pacific Northwest. You will be able to choose from hundreds of new and used guns, accessories and supplies; everything you have always wanted.

The Marksman holds some of the best sales events you have ever seen. Our reputed “30 Minute Super Sales” will have you bragging for months. Come in and enjoy one of our manufacturer sponsored days (Sig Arms, Smith & Wesson, Glock, Savage Arms, Springfield etc.) and you will find deals you can’t forget.

Gun Shop

We stock all major brands of quality firearms so our customers can choose from hundreds of new and used guns. We also offer trade in credit on most used guns. If you have a rare firearm, we can assist you with auction services to ensure you will receive “Top Dollar” for your firearms.

Special orders are filled promptly upon availability from the vendor. The Marksman is a major retailer of firearms. Our high volume business with distributors and manufacturers allows us greater access to “allocated” products. This becomes very important when new guns or special limited edition firearms are introduced. Feel free to let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to find.

During the past few years, female shooters have become a significant force in the shooting sports. The Marksman recognizes the importance of that evolution in our retail and ranges services.

Ron was The Marksman. Around the world and here at home in Pierce County, he was involved with law enforcement and civilian firearms training for over thirty years. Over those years, he taught tens of thousands of people how to safely handle firearms and how to improve their marksmanship. Ron knew how to bring out the best in everyone around him- their marksmanship but also their hearts. His humor and stories grounded us and encouraged us. He brought depth and wisdom to The Marksman and greater law enforcement & firearms community and he will be deeply missed.
